# How Can I Turn On/Off Transcription?

## Transcription is a valuable feature that allows you to see the text of spoken content during your lessons.

This can enhance your learning experience by reinforcing listening and reading skills simultaneously. You can easily enable or disable transcription based on your preference at any time during your lessons.

**Steps to Turn On/Off Transcription:**

#### **1. While Inside a Lesson:**

**Open Transcription Settings:**

- During your lesson, locate and tap the **cog wheel icon** (⚙️) in the **top right corner** of the screen to access the lesson-specific settings.

1. **Toggle Transcription:** 
     1. **In the settings overlay, find the "Transcription" toggle.**
     2. Tap the **toggle switch** next to "Transcription" to **enable** or **disable** it as desired.
2. **Return to Lesson View:** 
     1. After adjusting the transcription settings, tap in the **top quarter of the screen** where the lesson content is still partially visible.
     2. This action will return you to the lesson screen with your transcription settings applied.

#### **2. From the Main Menu or Lesson Screen:**

1. **Access Settings:** 
     1. Locate the **cog wheel icon** (⚙️) typically found in the **top right corner** of your screen.
     2. Tap on the **cog wheel** to open the main settings menu.
2. **Toggle Transcription:** 
     1. In the settings menu, find the **"Transcription"** option.
     2. Tap the **toggle switch** next to "Transcription" to **enable** or **disable** it as desired.
3. **Return to Lesson:** 
     1. After adjusting the transcription settings, tap in the **top quarter of the screen** where your lesson is still partially visible.
     2. This action will return you to the lesson screen with your transcription settings applied.
